Welcome

September 28, 2008

Hello, and welcome to my page.

I’m an associate professor of Political Science at the University of North Texas.

An Americanist by training, most of my research explores the relationship between religion and legislative policymaking. My current projects investigate cue giving among Catholic priests, the influence of religion on legislative behavior with respect to Israel, and the framing of testimony by religious interest groups before congressional committees.

Of course, my teaching interests overlap with my research interests. Beyond American and Texas Government, I most frequently offer courses on the U.S. Congress, religion and politics, undergraduate research methods, and Israeli politics.
